Labor Doula Services
Labor….meaning work (notice it doesn’t necessarily mean “hard work”). Your preparations through pregnancy will prepare you and your partner for the work of labor and delivery. As a doula, I consider my role to be as a guide/assistant through that work. I cannot do it for you, no matter how willing I am to shoulder your burden. I can help lessen the work through resources/skills, information, and support, and empower you to strength through the process. Doulas provide physical, emotional, verbal, and informational support throughout pregnancy and birth. This means many different things depending on the level of the support each family desires. Remember, you are in control! How can I can help? What birth goals would you like to accomplish? What resources/skills could help you achieve that goal?
This service include labor preparation. This means check-ins, practices, questions/answer, and visits throughout your pregnancy, if you desire. These check ins allow the doula and family to develop a relationship and share information. I want to know about your struggles and triumphs thus far, and provide any advice I have. Some couple desire fewer meetings, and that is perfect. It’s about your needs/wants. Service also includes labor support, for the entirety of the time that you desire my assistance. This service includes 24/7 availability by phone/text/email.
